Monday 17 March 2008After an inquiry under section 28 of the 2005 Act, OSCR issued directions on 28 April 2006, 28 April 2007 and 25 September 2007 directing Learning and Teaching Scotland to remove provisions from its constitution which breached section 7 (4) (b) of the 2005 Act, as indicating ministerial control. Friday 28 December 2007After an enquiry under Section 28 of the 2005 Act, OSCR issued directions under Section 28(3) on 28 December 2007 directing the charity and directors not to:
1. call or hold any meeting of Cantraybridge for the purpose of removing from office any director or directors
2. take any action intended to remove from office any director or directors of Cantraybridge. Read more..

Tuesday 17 July 2007Following a review of charitable status, we issued a direction on 17 July 2007 under section 30(1)(a) of the 2005 Act requiring the Board of Management of John Wheatley College to amend or remove, or cause to be amended or removed from the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 (as amended by the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 2005) the powers listed so that Scottish Ministers or a Minister of the Crown can no longer direct or control its activities. Tuesday 17 July 2007Following a review of charitable status, we issued a direction on 17 July 2007 under section 30(1)(a) of the 2005 Act requiring the Voluntary Action Fund to make an amendment to clause III(1) of the Memorandum of Association to ensure that ?charitable? is defined as in the 2005 Act. Under section 16(2)(a) of the 2005 Act, the Voluntary Action Fund will require prior consent from OSCR to make this or a similar amendment to its constitution. Read more..
